National procedures aimed at obtaining protective measures, such as bank account seizure orders, exist in all Member States, but the conditions for granting these measures and the effectiveness of their implementation vary considerably. Regulation (EU) No. 655/2014 creates a procedure allowing a creditor to obtain a European bank account seizure order which prevents the later recovery of the creditor’s debt from being put in danger by the transfer or withdrawal of funds.
In this context, Me Marie-Paule GILLEN, Partner, DSM Avocats à la Cour in Luxembourg, will present on the “Nominal listing of bank account holders: What changes for Luxembourg?” at the Meetincs Conference Day on “Debt Recovery: A (new) User’s Manual” which will take place in Luxembourg at the Hôtel Royal, on Wednesday, 8 March 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
