Me Marc GLODT was cited as legal counsel to Laboratoires réunis in their legal battle against the national laboratory’s (Laboratoire national de santé, LNS) monopoly over infectious disease diagnosis. While the Luxembourg Health Ministry claimed the monopoly was necessary to effectively control over the situation in Luxembourg, and thus justified its refusals of authorization to Laboratoires réunis, other entities such as the Medical Board (Collège médical) were in favor of a second laboratory performing such analyses, specifying that the government is currently subcontracting several such analyses addressed to the LNS, to non-Luxembourg laboratories. In its 27 April 2017, the administrative tribunal held that the refusal was unfounded.
