On Wednesday, 27 October, in the context of the dayCARE training day, we were pleased to host 5 high school students for a day-long internship and show them how a business law firm is organized.

Since 2008, the aim of dayCARE has been to allow young people to discover the possibilities on the Luxembourg job market, something which is often their first experience with the business world. During this day, the volunteer high school students do an internship with the enterprise of their choice. The day also allows the collection of funds to support CARE for the training of midwives in Niger and Laos. For each high school student hosted, we made a donation to the association.

During the morning program, the students discovered various facets of the legal profession:

  • Presentation of the firm, visit of the premises and introduction with Maxime CUCHE, Marketing Officer
  • Presentation of the profession of tax attorney by Alex PHAM, Partner Tax – Avocat à la Cour
  • Presentation of the profession of litigation attorney by Alban COLSON, Partner – Avocat à la Cour
  • Explanation of the journey to become an attorney in Luxembourg and the dimension of serving as legal advisor by Melissa CHITO and Melanie EREN, both Associates – Avocats

In the afternoon we organized a guided visit to the Judicial Precinct and the St. Esprit plateau with the LCTO.

It was a good opportunity to share our profession, our passion and to help these students in making their choice of professional orientation, all while supporting a humanitarian cause!

We would like to thank the high school students (Julie, Chloé, Eva, Kylie and Shauna) for their curiosity as well as for the interesting exchanges. We hope that they enjoyed this first professional experience and wish them every success in the future!

Bravo to the CARE Luxembourg a.s.b.l. team and to all the enterprises that participated in dayCARE 2021.
