DSM is at the forefront of current human rights law developments
Fundamental rights are constantly evolving, and the lawyers specialising in this area constantly follow those developments. Human rights are commonly invoked in many domestic proceedings. These rights are traditionally those provided for in the European Convention on Human Rights, but are now invoked in proceedings in which EU law plays a role, especially through the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
Headed by François Moyse, human rights expert with the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), the DSM Human Rights team lodges petitions before the European Court of Human Rights and keeps abreast of its jurisprudence.
