Because of the current pandemic, on 6 May the Luxembourg gouvernement on the proposal of the Ministry for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises took the decision to improve the support for self-employed individuals experiencing financial difficulties by setting up further non-repayable emergency assistance.
The application form to benefit from this aid is available by clicking here.
The aid is in the form of a one-time lump-sum allowance, and depending on the income bracket of the person concerned, the amounts granted are set at: EUR 3 000, EUR 3 500 or EUR 4 000.
This assistance may be granted in addition to that granted under the emergency fund created by the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 8 April 2020. Henceforth, such aid is also accessible to insurance brokers and agents who were excluded from the scope of the first aid.
The eligibility requirement of not receiving two and one-half of the social minimum wage is maintained, and there is no eligibility requirement with respect to the number of staff employed by the self-employed individual.
Information on other support in place for self-employed individuals are available at Guichet.lu.
