The webinar will be an “Introduction to the CNPD’s  GDPR-CARPA data processing certification mechanism.

After nearly 5 years of integration in the GDPR’s legal framework and requirements, a new phase begins with the establishment of a certification mechanism for data processing activity compliance, pursuant to Articles 42 and 43 of the GDPR. In February of 2023, HACA PARTNERS became the 2nd certifying entity accredited by the CNPD, thanks to collaboration with Seralys for the information security portion and DSM Avocats à la Cour for all legal issues.

Speakers:

  • Renaud LE SQUEREN, Partner at DSM Avocats à la Cour, has over 20 years’ experience in digital law. Between 2005 and 2008, he worked as an external consultant for the CNPD. Since 2014, he has been in charge of the Digital desk at DSM Avocats à la Cour and supports his clients in their digital transition (GDPR, platforms, e-commerce, APIs, Apps…). In parallel, Renaud is involved locally through his participation as director in several associations such as eCom and APDL.
  • Cédric LEROY, independent accredited auditor and Head of Regulatory & Compliance at HACA PARTNERS, has 15 years’ experience in audit and fiscal matters in the asset management sector, serving significant investment fund promoters. Cédric has developed specific expertise in the operational efficiency approach to an audit through the use of new digital tools as well as the internal organisation of audit and advisory firms.
  • Alain HERRMANN has been an official with the CNPD since 2012. He began as an IT and new technologies expert and subsequently become head of the Compliance Department. Since September of 2021, he has been Data Protection Commissioner with the CNPD. Previously, he worked for 14 years as an IT security/Information security engineer and consultant with various private organisations.
